General Bio
Georgianna Maria Coogler, nick named by her parents Gigi, was born in Chattanooga, Tennesee, U.S.A. When Gigi was six months old her family moved to Southern California where she currently still resides.
Gigi began formal dance lessons at age four and stage acting before her eighth birthday.
Community theatre, dance, singing, music, beauty pageants, modeling and writing were her passion for years to come.
At age 18 Gigi began attending various acting workshops in Hollywood and Los Angeles, CA. She landed her first feature film role at age 19. Following were various roles in both film and stage while still attending college. During this time, she managed woman’s health clubs while teaching dance and fitness classes.
Through the years Gigi has worked at various gyms, dance studios and fitness centers. She taught classes for UCR University of Riverside, CA. She was Chair for the Inland Empire Region and top fund raiser for The City of Hope "Aerobics Against Aides". She taught dance for development challenged children.
At age 29 Gigi began working at New West Entertainment located in Burbank. After a short time she obtained the position of executive producer. For almost two years she gained valuable skills taking several projects from conception to cast into can.
Singing, dance,music,choreography and the general performing arts remain a passion and consistency.
Gigi recently revived the pursuit of acting.
After a couple auditions, she had the honor of performing in the supporting role of Sylvia, a crazed. obsessive, neurotic, spoiled, upper class domestic goddess in the award winning comedy Pay Off.
Over the last couple years Gigi wrote, composed, and performed her first three songs, titled, No Such Thing, I Know Nothing, and A Deeper Shade of Blue . She also co-wrote and performed vocals on the song, You have no idea with UK composer and songwriter, Dave Pez.
Ms. Coogler continues her passion for teaching dance and Yoga at YMCA Riverside, CA.
Her views are simple and effective. Keep from identifying with the ego and make sure all drama remains where it belongs, in the arts. Simple is the key word here.
Attitude is ultimately everything which then determines the effective outcome of all action.
Ultimately putting all attention into the present action with such focus and joy that the fruit of the action is of little or no concern.
Working in a team environment during the often challenging creative process with appreciation and ease is one of life's greatest rewards.
